Respiro Films is the production arm and portal of filmmaker/video artist Harjinder Grewal 

Born into an Indian family in the UK, navigating two cultures with a curious sense of identity, a reoccurring state of daydreaming would naturally morph itself into filmmaking.   

Graduating in Film & Television with a minor in Spanish, followed by bespoke director training at the London Film School and National Film & Television School.  

Previous work includes commissions and support from Universal Music Group, BBC, Channel 4, EON Productions, PIAS, The Smalls, various independent labels, Arts Council of England and Spanish Television, while exhibited venues include London’s National Geographic Society and Whitechapel Art Gallery, Aicon Gallery in NYC, Dubai’s Art Park and Pakistan’s National Art Gallery. 

Nominated for the Satyajit Ray Short Film Award by the Satyajit Ray Foundation.
